Marine Fender Systems & Structural Asset Integrity Campaign.

This project involved a comprehensive structural overhaul and technical maintenance program executed on the starboard side marine fender system of the Offshore Support Vessel (OSV) Mayo Balwa. Operating at the Naval Dockyard in Victoria Island, Lagos, the primary objective was to restore the vessel’s impact-protection integrity by replacing severely corroded high-strain components. Utilizing specialized Industrial Rope Access Techniques, a multi-disciplinary engineering crew successfully removed compromised hardware, fabricated and positional-welded heavy-duty pad-eyes, and rigged new marine fender units directly onto the ship's hull side. The execution was completed with zero HSE incidents, demonstrating efficient lifecycle asset maintenance.
